H2

GeigerCars.de have released the details of their Hummer H2 Kompressor called Latte Macciatto. We’re not sure about its name, but we’re sure the GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor has the right amount of power and torque and the looks to make itself noticed anywhere it goes. The GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor has received a supercharger which takes the power output up to 547 PS at 5900 rpm and 763 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. With the new found juice, the GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and can run as fast as 228 km/h.
The GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor is also fitted with all the bling a rap artist could think of: 30-inch chrome rims, a brown and crème-beige color combination, Alcantara and leather and a DVD player with a roof-mounted monitor. The GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor also comes with Brembo brakes, a stainless steel sports exhaust system, additional stabilizers, rear axle struts and adjustable sports shock absorbers and a lowered ride height.
The market for American cars has fallen into a sort of lethargy since the insolvency of Chrysler and General Motors. Vehicles like the new Cadillac CTS-V or the new Camaro only find their way over the big pond on the initiative of specialized dealers. But despite the crisis and the uncertain future of the American automobile industry, the fan base has not shrunk at all, in contrary the US car scene is as lively as ever. Karl Geiger, the founder of GeigerCars.de in Munich, has been importing, tuning and customizing American vehicles for more than 30 years. Thanks to a perfect network, the newest models are always available as the first in Europe on the large site in Truderinger Strasse, despite the stuttering US market.
One major enthusiasm of the Bavarian is and remains customizing, and once again Karl Geiger has achieved a masterpiece with this Hummer H2 conversion. The paintwork answers to the name “Latte Macciatto” and is a mix of a noble brown as the base color with many contrast.
elements in crème-beige. The combination of wheels and tires is exclusive, with 315/30R30 tires on gigantic 30-inch chrome wheels. Behind the almost full wheel rims are Brembo brakes with 380 X 34 mm riveted brake discs and 4-piston calipers at the front, and 380 X 32 mm discs with 2-piston calipers at the back. The chassis receives additional stabilizers, rear axle struts and adjustable sports shock absorbers, including lowering, which is certainly a good idea in view of the extremely high performance of the Geiger Hummer H2.
As is traditional, Geiger has fitted the Hummer motor with a supercharger, which increases the power to a full 547 PS at 5900 rpm and the maximum torque to a brutal 763 Nm at 4500 rpm. So the US giant covers the classical sprint from 0 to 100 kmh in slightly less than 7 seconds, and the forward urge is only gently held back by the air resistance at 228 kmh. In order that the outside world notices the H2 not only visually but also aurally, a special in-house stainless steel sport exhaust system gives out a real thunder.

H3X

In 2007 GM South Africa launched their first Hummer production facility in Port Elizabeth, this move introduced the Hummer brand to the South African market and also somewhat lightened the load of the Shreveport factory in Louisiana. The plant manufactures only the Hummer H3, and builds for the South African market as well as the markets of Asia and Europe. This plant also manufactured a right hand drive version for the Australian market between 2007 and 2009.[3] Throughout Australia, Hummer was distributed by GM Holden dealerships.
The H3 features a two-speed, electronically controlled full-time four-wheel drive system that is suitable for both on-road and off-road driving in all conditions, with electronic locking front and rear differentials optionally available. Like its larger sibling the Hummer H2, the H3 can ford 24 inches (610 mm) of water (tested in depths up to 31 in/790 mm) at a speed of 5 miles per hour (8.0 km/h) and 16 inches (410 mm) of water at a speed of 20 miles per hour (32 km/h). Standard ground clearance is measured at 9.7 inches (250 mm) while the approach, departure, and breakover angles are measured at 37.4°, 34.7°, and 22.1° respectively, allowing the H3 to scale a 16-inch (410 mm) vertical wall and negotiate grades of 60% and side slopes of 40%. Though fore and aft recovery hooks are standard, a trailer hitch and wiring harness are optional.
Maximum towing capacities are 3,000 pounds (1,400 kg) for the straight-5 with manual transmission, 4,500 pounds (2,000 kg) for the straight-5 with automatic transmission, and 6,000 pounds (2,700 kg) for the V8 with automatic transmission. Cargo volume with the second-row seats in the upright position is 25.0 cubic feet (0.71 m3), which expands to a maximum of 62.8 cubic feet (1.78 m3) when the seats are folded down. V8 models feature the lightest maximum payload capacity of just over 1,100 pounds (500 kg) while straight-5, manual transmission models allow the greatest payload at 1,300 pounds (590 kg).
Electronic stability control, anti-lock four-wheel disc brakes, brake-controlled traction control, LATCH child-seat anchors, and tire-pressure monitoring are all standard features on the H3. Side-curtain airbags were optional until 2008 when they were made standard across. The H3 is rated Acceptable, the second highest rating, by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in both frontal offset and side-impact crashes (with side airbags) and Poor, the lowest rating, for rear-crash protection/head restraints.[7]
The NHTSA gives the 2008 H3 the following scores:
Frontal Driver: 5/5 stars
Frontal Passenger: 4/5 stars
Side Driver: 5/5 stars
Side Rear Passenger: 5/5 stars
AWD Rollover : 3/5 stars

H2sut

The H2sut was built under contract by AM General at a specially constructed plant in Mishawaka, Indiana, USA. GM’s GMT820 truck shares platforms with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, but those vehicles differ in many ways and are constructed in three other GM plants. The H2′s final frame assembly is made up of 3 sections: The front uses a modified GM 2500-Series utility frame, the mid-section is all new and is completely boxed, and the rear section uses a modified GM 1500-Series frame which is upgraded for the 8,600 pounds (3,900 kg) gross vehicle weight.
The H2sut was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award for 2003.
Unlike the other full-size GM trucks and SUVs, the H2 remained on the GMT800 platform after 2007, but was given an interior facelift similar to the likes of the new-for-2007 GMT900 SUVs.
Hummer launched a special 2009 Black Chrome Limited Edition version of the truck.
H2sut production at the Mishawaka plant was suspended in January 2009.
In January 2009, a study by ISO Quality Planning revealed the H2 and H3 Hummers to be the most ticketed vehicles in the United States.
Under the United States income tax code, the cost of vehicles over 6,000 pounds (2,700 kg) can be deducted from specific forms of income. This deduction was enacted decades ago to assist self-employed people in purchasing a vehicle for business use. The weight minimum was intended to limit the deduction to commercial-type trucks. For many years, the deduction remained below the average cost of a new vehicle, since large trucks were relatively inexpensive. Since it is a reduction in taxable income, the actual value of this deduction averages 30% of the price of the vehicle in question.
The increasing popularity of these commercial vehicles in the last decade, however, pushed their average price to nearly double the average passenger car cost. In response, the 2002 Tax Act increased this “Section 179 depreciation deduction” to US$75,000, and it rose again to US$102,000 for the 2004 tax year. This is more than three times the current average cost of a passenger car in the United States and covers a large number of luxury models, including the Hummer H2. In late 2006, the deduction was again reduced to US$25,000 for vehicles with GVWR ratings between 6,000 lb (2,700 kg) and 14,000 lb (6,400 kg).
This deduction has received criticism as favoring large vehicles over the more energy efficient zero polluting electric vehicles, which received a maximum deduction of $4,000, $1,000 in 2007, and $0 in 2008.[citation needed](Although this was for anybody, not just commercial deductions like Section 179.)
Base price MSRP in 2008 for the H2 is $53,286. While the vehicle initially had high resale value, price depreciation has increased rapidly over the past few years and the H2 commonly sells for less than 40% of original price after just two-to-three years according to Newsweek.
