Infiniti

The Infiniti FX Line | super speed cars of performance crossovers might already be one of the rarest and best equipped cars in its class but this has not stopped customers demanding an even more exclusive version. Infiniti is responding with very special, limited production versions of the FX37S and FX50S to be called, simply, the FX Limited Edition.
The FX Limited Edition will be rare indeed. Availability has been strictly limited to just 100 units across Western Europe, of which only 18 will be coming to the UK
Infiniti today confirmed that its first production hybrid vehicle will be part of the recently announced line of 2011 Infiniti M luxury performance sedans, which are scheduled to go on sale in spring 2010 at Infiniti dealers nationwide. The Infiniti M35 hybrid is expected to arrive about 12 months later as a 2012 model. It is Infiniti’s first hybrid in its 20-year existence, as well as the cleanest and most economical car in Infiniti’s history.
A more dynamic look and revised interior, with state-of-the-art infotainment technology available, take the Infiniti G37 Saloon into a new decade with more presence and quality than ever. Announced today, the 2010 version of Infiniti’s lead-in sports model for Europe remains just as potent, poised and well equipped as before, but benefits from enhancements that bring it into line with other Infiniti models as well as responding to feedback from Infiniti owners.
The changes are subtle but effective – as one glance at the sharper new front-end styling reveals
The very unjapanese scale of the Essence yields a more Nippon-influenced interior for two, including an attractive driver-oriented “cocoon” that features a flat-bottomed steering wheel, hand-painted wood designed to look like Japanese laquerware and eccentricities like asymmetrical seat seams that mimic the way ‘Japanese men and women tie their kimonos.” Presumably, said kimonos fit nicely in the bespoke Louis Vuitton luggage (made more accessible via a powered trunk shelf).
Yes and no. A lot of the G37’s basics are 350Z-derived, but this is far more than just badge engineering – the Infiniti is a very different beast to the Nissan it’s based on. But to fully understand this car, first we need some context. In America, Infiniti is Nissan’s premium off-shoot, much like Lexus is to Toyota. Late in 2008, the Infiniti brand will be gradually rolled out across the UK with a four-model line-up: G saloon, this G coupe, EX35 (think BMW X3) and the X5-rivaling FX45

INFINITI FX

The Infiniti FX Line of performance crossovers might already be one of the rarest and best equipped cars in its class but this has not stopped customers demanding an even more exclusive version. Infiniti is responding with very special, limited production versions of the FX37S and FX50S to be called, simply, the FX Limited Edition.
The FX Limited Edition will be rare indeed. Availability has been strictly limited to just 100 units across Western Europe, of which only 18 will be coming to the UK. All will be individually numbered. Based on the already dramatic looking FX37S and FX50S, the FX Limited Edition features striking Black Obsidian ‘Scratch Guard’ paintwork as standard, with equally distinctive Moonlight White pearl metallic available as an option. Specially commissioned 21 inch ‘Turbine’ design alloy wheels are finished in dark Graphite. The radiator grille, side air vents and roof rails are similarly coordinated.
The interior of the FX Limited Edition is beautifully crafted with many unique enhancements. Opening one of the doors reveals illuminated ‘Infiniti’ entry guards and a carefully co-ordinated combination of the finest materials, including supple Graphite leather upholstered seats, upper door panels and dashboard with contrasting stitching, and a luxurious Alcantara® headlining. Genuine Carbon fibre is used extensively on the dashboard, centre console and door panels, replacing the standard ‘cello flame maple wood veneer. Completing the FX Limited Edition’s comprehensive standard specification, Infiniti’s state-of-the-art Connectiviti+ technology package provides a fully integrated navigation, communication and entertainment system including an 11-speaker Bose® Premium Sound System, the Michelin Guide, full iPod connectivity and a 10GB music box with Gracenotes database. An option on the standard FX37S, this is joined on both the V6 and V8 engined Limited Editions by Infiniti’s unique Around View Monitor.
The FX Limited Edition is available for reservation now via an Infiniti Centre. Pricing starts at £55,855 for the 320PS, V6 engined FX37S rising to £62,035 for the 390PS, V8 powered FX50S.

The Infiniti FX Limited Edition in more detail
Exterior styling
With its breathtaking combination of sports car proportions and muscular SUV stance, the FX is an unmistakable performance luxury crossover. The FX Limited Edition accentuates these unique design qualities with a choice of standard Black Obsidian ‘Scratch Guard’ paint or optional Moonlight White pearl metallic, together with dark smoked headlight surrounds that give the FX Limited Edition a more distinctive ‘face’.
Further drama comes courtesy of the FX Limited Edition’s ‘Turbine’ design alloys wheels, so called because the spokes of the wheels are shaped in such a way as aid the flow of cooling air to the sports brakes. Uniquely finished in dark graphite grey – together with the distinctive ‘double-wave’ radiator grille, air vents and roof rails – they are fitted with 265/45 R21W tyres and fill the wheel arches to perfection.
Interior environment
The Infiniti philosophy of Modern Luxury is exemplified in the FX Limited Edition’s stylish and comprehensively appointed interior. From the supple Graphite leather upholstery complete with quilted stitching for the seats, doors and dashboard, to the opulent Alcantara® trimmed headlining and roof pillars and wool carpets, only the finest natural materials are used. Illuminated ‘Infiniti’ door entry guards are also unique to the FX Limited Edition.
The extensive use of genuine carbon fibre across the dashboard, centre console and door panels provides an appropriately high-tech contrast to the soft-touch natural materials and provides a fitting backdrop to the FX Limited Edition’s standard Connectiviti+ infotainment system. Employing the very latest Hard Disk Drive (HDD) technology it features a fully integrated satellite navigation system with 42-country, Europewide coverage and, in a world-first collaboration with Michelin Green Guide, a database of some 22,000 addresses, which enables the location and booking of leading hotels and restaurants while on the move.
The Connectiviti+ multi-media system also includes a powerful 11-speaker Bose® Premium Sound System, a 10GB direct record Music Box that can store up to 300 albums’ worth of your favourite music, plus a DVD player, USB port for MP3 players and Bluetooth hands-free mobile phone connectivity.

2010 Infiniti G37 Sedan Features Refreshed Exterior Styling, Refined Interior and Enhanced Navigation System
Infiniti’s Top Selling Model Continues to Offer Exceptional Performance, Style and Luxury
Since Infiniti first burst on the automotive scene 20 years ago, it has maintained a reputation as having not only one of the most dynamic product lineups in the industry but also one of the freshest – with a constant stream of new or enhanced models. The 2010 calendar year is no exception with a greatly refined Infiniti G37 Sedan debuting prior the scheduled launches of all-new, next generations of the Infiniti M and Infiniti QX.
For 2010, the G Sedan, Infiniti’s top-selling model, features revised exterior styling, an enhanced interior treatment and upgraded technology features. Most of the enhancements, except for the exterior refinements, are also available on the 2010 G37 Coupe and recently introduced G37 Convertible. 2010 G buyers have a range of four well-equipped models to choose from – G37 Sedan, G37 Sedan Journey, G37S Sedan Sport 6MT and G37x Sedan AWD.
All 2010 G Sedans are equipped with a refined 328-horsepower 3.7-liter VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) V6. A smooth, efficient 7-speed automatic transmission is standard on all models except the G37 Sport 6MT, which, as appropriate for a cutting-edge performance sports sedan, comes with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The G37x Sedan AWD is equipped with an advanced Infiniti Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system for enhanced all-weather performance.
‘The Infiniti G is a vehicle for people who never slow down or settle for the status quo, so our goal has always been to keep the design fresh, the performance engaging and the equipment perfectly in-tune with the needs of these active owners,’ said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit.
Refreshed, Sporty Styling For 2010
For 2010, the G Sedan retains its visually striking exterior design, with its long, wave-like hood, raked A-pillars and athletic stance projecting a balance of power and grace that is suggestive of the performance potential within.
The front of the G Sedan is highlighted by its new headlights and grille, which offer a crisp form and high quality feel. The G’s standard fog lights have been moved from their previous location in the headlight cluster to the lower fascia where they help provide a more upscale and distinctive appearance. Every G offers standard High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional Xenon headlights. G37 Sport models also receive a new, distinctive front fascia and separate fog lights. The silhouette offers a wedged roofline and a sweeping bodyside character line that emphasizes both the rich shoulder surfaces and the G’s rear-wheel drive orientation.
In the rear, the refined, evolutional L-shaped LED taillights express the G heritage and the Infiniti design identity. The trunk lid is accented by an integrated spoiler, while prominent dual exhaust outlets complete the sporty appearance. All 2010 models receive a revised rear fascia with an improved exhaust finisher treatment. G37, G37 Journey and G37x AWD models feature a new 17-inch 5-spoke ‘triple forks’ aluminum-alloy wheel design.
Two new exterior colors are offered for 2010, Smoky Quartz and Graphite Shadow, along with carryover colors Vibrant Red, Lakeshore Slate, Liquid Platinum, Blue Slate, Black Obsidian and Moonlight White.
Interior Refinements Add to Crafted, Quality Feel
Like the exterior, the 2010 G Sedan’s interior has been given a fresh look and feel for the new model year, along with upgrades to the navigation system and revised optional package content. Every G37 Sedan offers a crafted interior environment and luxury features such as standard leather-appointed seating and an available audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels® by Bose® premium audio system, which combines Bose’®s 3-way front door speaker array using 10-inch woofers with a parcel shelf-mounted subwoofer.
A 2GB Music Box Flash Memory Music Server is available with the Premium Package. Other enhancements for 2010 include a new, predominately white color scheme for the gauges and LCD instrument display, improving both legibility and cohesiveness of design. There is also a new center console design (7AT models) and the previous ‘Washi’ aluminum trim has been replaced by ‘Shodo’ aluminum trim inspired by a style of Japanese calligraphy. The Wheat and Stone leather-appointed interior colors are now lighter (Graphite color also available), and the available maple interior accents are now high gloss.
Unchanged is the G’s harmony between the dedicated driver’s cockpit and comfortable passenger space – and between modern technology and traditional Japanese design cues. The result is a ‘modern warmth’ that is unique in the sport sedan segment. The driver’s area has a simple, intuitive layout with easy-to-read electroluminescent gauges. A center information display, located between the tachometer and speedometer, conveys updates from the drive computer (average fuel consumption, instantaneous fuel economy, average speed, elapsed time, running distance, distance to empty, outside air temperature, warning displays, odometer and automatic transmission shift indicator).
The G’s available Infiniti Navigation System has been enhanced with 08IT technology and a new display screen with higher resolution than the previous generation system’s screen. Along with the previously available XM NavTraffic® Real-Time Traffic Information, the navigation system adds NavWeather™ with Real-Time Weather and 3-day forecast (XM® subscription required, sold separately), Streaming Audio via Bluetooth® and Zagat® Restaurant Guide. The system also includes a touch screen, Voice Recognition and a 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive.
Other technologies include standard Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, standard 7.0-inch color monitor display, standard XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately), available RearView Monitor, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking.
Powerful, Responsive 3.7-liter V6 Performance
As stunning as the G Sedan looks from the outside, its real beauty is best experienced from behind the wheel. The G’s balanced dynamic performance starts with its advanced 3.7-liter VQ37HR V6 with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift). Rated at 328 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, the engine’s VVEL system combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side to help improve performance and response. The VVEL system also offers improved emissions and fuel efficiency over the non-VVEL designs. The VVEL intake camshafts, featuring continuously variable lift control teamed with the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), allow for a 7,600 rpm redline.
The engine also features rigid ladder frame construction, large crank journal and pin diameters, asymmetric piston skirts, twin knock sensors, an electronically controlled ‘drive-by-wire’ throttle system, coated lightweight pistons, Iridium spark plugs and a symmetric twin air intake system. The specially tuned dual exhaust system features equal length exhaust manifolds and low muffler exhaust backpressure to help improve engine breathing. Both intake and exhaust enhance driving pleasure with their authentic performance notes.
To help take full advantage of the refined engine design, the G37 Sedan comes with a standard (except for the G37S Sport 6MT model) 7-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev Matching, Drive Sport mode and ASC (Adaptive Shift Control) that allows for sportier shifts in performance driving situations. Solid magnesium paddle shifters are standard on G37 Special Edition models and as part of the Sport Package for G37 Journey and G37x AWD models. The G37S Sport 6MT features a smooth-shifting, close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.
‘It is important to us to offer the G Sedan with a choice of transmissions – the 6-speed manual for the pure sports enthusiasts and our refined 7-speed automatic that, especially when combined with the available steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, provides nearly the same high level of driver control,’ said Poore.
Estimated fuel economy is rated at 19 mpg City and 27 mpg Highway with the 7-speed automatic transmission and 17 mpg City/25 mpg Highway AWD with the 6-speed manual transmission. Fuel economy for G37x AWD models is estimated at 18 City/25 Highway
Along with the 3.7-liter engine, every 2010 G37 Sedan is equipped with the advanced FM platform, which locates the engine behind the front axle in the ‘Front Mid-ship’ position. The positioning of the engine provides good front-to-rear weight balance, while the combination of long wheelbase, manageable overall length and wide front and rear track adds to the G Sedan’s overall handling stability. 010 Infiniti G Convertible Enters Second Year with Interior Refinements, Enhanced Navigation System
Seductive Coupe-like Styling, Three-Piece Folding Hardtop and 325 Horsepower 3.7-Liter VVEL V6 Provide Convenient Year-Round, Open-Air Driving Excitement
In 2009, the Infiniti G Convertible brought a whole new dimension to the popular Infiniti G line, literally blowing the top off with the wide-open exhilaration of open-air motoring. Now, just one model year later, the Infiniti G Convertible adds a number of enhancements – including revised interior features, new navigation system functions, power folding outside mirrors and a new Graphite Shadow exterior color. Unchanged is the G Convertible’s ability to rejuvenate the spirit with its seductive styling and exciting performance – along with its advanced three-piece power retractable hardtop.
‘The G Convertible made an immediate and lasting impression when it was introduced with its ‘dual beauty’ top design that looks as good up or down,’ said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit. ‘Now we’re coming back a year later with additional interior refinements and an enhanced navigation, adding a new level of convenience and style to an already outstanding design.’
Every G Convertible comes equipped with a standard 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift) rated at 325 horsepower. The engine is backed by a choice of an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with available magnesium paddle shifters or a responsive close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.
Seductive Styling Inside and Out
The G Convertible maintains a coupe-like silhouette with the top up through use of a special three-piece ‘clamshell’ retractable hardtop, which allows for both a stylish shorter rear overhang and a low trunk lid. Compared to G Coupe, the G Convertible utilizes all-new body panels from the A-pillar back, along with a 1.1-inch wider overall width, wider rear track and modified rear suspension.
Along with its stunning G Coupe-like proportions, the G Convertible offers signature Infiniti styling cues such as flowing front fender curves, a wave-style aluminum hood, expressive front fascia with double-arch grille and L-shaped High-Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon headlights with integrated fog lamps. The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT and G37 Convertible with Sport Package include a unique front fascia/bumper design.
In the rear, the taillights are unique to the G Convertible, incorporating an inner ‘circle of light’ for added style. The chrome rear trunk finisher incorporates both an integrated high-mount stoplight and the small camera for the standard RearView Monitor system.
The automatic top opening/closing sequence takes approximately 30 seconds from start to finish. The open/close switch is located on the center console, just behind the transmission shifter lever.
‘With the top up, the G Convertible’s seductive styling hides the fact that it’s a convertible. With the top down, it takes on a personality all its own – revealing its beautiful, equally dramatic interior design. It’s a car you can’t stop looking at,’ said Poore.
For 2010, the G Convertible is offered in eight exterior colors: Vibrant Red, Athens Blue, Liquid Platinum, Black Obsidian, Midnight Garnet, Moonlight White, Pacific Sky and new Graphite Shadow.
The G Convertible’s interior design combines sophistication, craftsmanship and thoughtfulness with unique, available systems created to enhance the open-air driving experience. The driver-oriented cockpit features a new, redesigned center console (automatic transmission only) with a higher quality appearance, an Infiniti signature instrument panel design with Infiniti electroluminescent instrumentation with new white illumination color scheme, integrated multi-function information drive computer display and signature Infiniti analog clock.
The double hand-stitched leather-covered steering wheel is designed for maximum comfort and usability, with standard wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls. Solid magnesium paddle shifters are available for the 7-speed automatic transmission (G37 Convertible with Sport Package only).
Special Silk Obi aluminum interior trim, inspired by fine Japanese silk and unique to the G Convertible, is located across the instrument panel, on the center console and on the door panels. Also available are interior Maple Accents. Leather-appointed seating is standard and is offered in three colors – Graphite (black), Wheat and Stone.
Heated 8-way power driver/8-way front passenger seats are standard, with Climate-Controlled Seats (with heating and cooling functions) available as part of the Premium Package on non-Sport models. The G37 Convertible Sport 6MT and G37 Convertible with Sport Package include special sport-styled front seats with manual thigh extension and driver’s power thigh and torso support – along with sport stitching for the front seats and steering wheel, high-grip aluminum pedals and foot rest and, with the 7-speed automatic, solid magnesium paddle shifters. A power walk-in device with position memory provides easy access to the 2nd row seats (the front seats move forward automatically at the touch of a button to allow passengers into the rear seats). An available rear wind deflector helps reduce wind turbulence when the top is down.
The 2010 G Convertible’s long list of comfort and convenience features includes standard Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition and an Adaptive Dual Zone Climate Control System air conditioning system that adjusts to provide optimal comfort with the top up or down.
Two audio systems are available, starting with a standard 6-speaker AM/FM/CD system with MP3 playback capability, Radio Data System (RDS) and center console-mounted auxiliary input, 7-inch color display and XM® Satellite Radio. A second system is also offered – a 13-speaker Infiniti Bose® Open Air Sound system with AudioPilot® 2.0 technology that automatically optimizes EQ settings for open/closed top positions. The system’s special Bose® Front seat Personal Speakers, mounted in the front seat head restraints, enable superior front audio quality regardless of the top position. A 2GB Music Box Flash Memory Music Server is included in the Premium Package.
Other available G Convertible features include standard Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System and the available Infiniti Navigation System with available XM NavTraffic® and NavWeather® (XM subscription required, sold separately), Streaming Audio via Bluetooth® and Zagat Survey® restaurant reviews, touch screen and 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive.
‘The design of the G Convertible interior takes into consideration the typical distractions from fully enjoying open air driving, such as added interior noise and turbulence, added heating and cooling system demand and even the fact that the seating surfaces can get hot in the sun or cool at night,’ said Poore. ‘Its inspired design anticipates the needs of the user and presents solutions, enhancing the comfort and enjoyment of the driver and passengers.’
Liberating Dynamic Performance
Like the G Coupe and G Sedan, the G Convertible’s outstanding dynamic performance credentials start with a combination of its advanced FM platform and award-winning V6 engine. ‘What would be the fun of a convertible without exhilarating levels of performance and handling?’ said Poore. ‘Like the true G that it is, the G Convertible doesn’t disappoint.’
Every 2010 G Convertible comes equipped with a standard 3.7-liter V6 engine with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event and Lift), rated at 325 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The VVEL system combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side, helping to improve not only performance and response but also emissions and fuel efficiency (over a non-VVEL system).
The engine is mated to a choice of an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, downshift rev matching, Drive Sport (DS) mode and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) that allows for quicker shifts in sporty driving situations and available solid magnesium paddle shifters; or a responsive, lightweight close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission on the G37 Convertible Sport 6MT.
The G Convertible’s responsive handling and ride performance is provided by its advanced FM (Front Mid-ship) platform design, which optimizes front/rear weight balance and creates a rigid, stable foundation for the 4-wheel independent suspension. The front suspension is an independent double-wishbone design, with a single pivot lower wishbone and a long upper link. The multi-link rear suspension separates the Dual Flow Path® shock absorbers and springs, locating the shock absorber inline with the wheel center. These designs help minimize alignment changes and reduce suspension friction for nimble handling and smooth riding characteristics.
Responsive steering is provided by a vehicle-speed-sensing system, with sport-tuned steering offered with the G37 Convertible Sport 6MT and G37 Convertible with Sport Package. Standard on all G Convertibles is Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with cancel switch and Traction Control System (TCS).
Braking performance is provided by standard 4-wheel vented discs with 4-channel, 4-sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. The G37 Convertible with Sport Package and G37 Convertible Sport 6MT are further enhanced with larger ventilated rotors (14.0-inch front/13.8-inch rear) and aluminum four-piston calipers front/two-piston calipers rear, embossed with Infiniti lettering.
Also available is Infiniti’s Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking, which assists in maintaining a consistent following distance from the vehicle ahead. It also identifies sudden braking situations with laser sensors to determine distance and relative speed of the vehicle ahead in the same lane and ‘pre-pressurizes’ the Brake Assist system before the driver steps on the brake pedal.
Split 5-spoke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with Dunlop SP Sport MAXX A1-A P225/50R18 front and P245/45R18 rear all-season tires are standard on the G37 Convertible, while the G37 Convertible Sport 6MT utilizes special 19-inch cast aluminum-alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A high performance tires (P225/45R19 front and P245/40R19 rear). The 19-inch wheels and tires are also available on the G37 Convertible as part of the Sport or Performance Tire & Wheel Packages.
An Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant classification sensor is standard, along with door-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags for driver and front-seat passenger protection, front-seat mounted side-impact supplemental air bags and front seat Active Head Restraints.
The rear seat includes fixed head restraints with rear Pop-up Roll Bars. The G Convertible also features reinforced front side members, front pillars and body sills.

The 2010 Infiniti G Convertible is available in two models: G37 Convertible and G37 Convertible Sport 6MT.
The G37′s suspension is a 4-wheel independent design with lightweight aluminum components and front and rear stabilizer bars, designed to provide nimble and natural feeling handling, as well as a controlled, refined ride.
The front suspension minimizes alignment changes through use of a single pivot lower wishbone and a long upper link. The rear suspension design separates the shock absorbers and springs, locating the shock absorber inline with the wheel center to help reduce suspension friction and reduce the wind-up motion of the axle on acceleration.
The Infiniti G37 6MT and G37 Journey models with the optional Sport Package include a sport-tuned suspension and 14.7:1 sport-tuned steering gear.
The G37x Sedan AWD model features a state-of-the-art ‘intelligent’ all-wheel drive system with Infiniti’s ATTESA E-TS® (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system. The system utilizes an active torque distribution management system with an active center clutch designed for smooth starts and better traction and maneuverability on snowy roads than conventional all-wheel drive systems, plus minimal compromise of rear-wheel drive performance characteristics on dry roads.
All 2010 G37s, rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, come with standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), helping to enhance vehicle stability under a variety of driving conditions, while Viscous Limited Slip Differential (VLSD) is included on the G37S Sport 6MT and G37 Journey Sport Package-equipped vehicles.
The G’s brake system utilizes power-assisted 4-wheel vented disc brakes with 4-channel, 4-sensor Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). Larger brakes (14.0-inch front, 13.8-inch rear) with 4-piston front/2-piston rear calipers are standard on the G37S Sport 6MT and the G37 Journey with Sport Package. Also available is a Preview Braking system (with Intelligent Cruise Control). The power steering system is a vehicle-speed-sensing design, which provides optimum steering effort at both high and low vehicle speeds.
The 2010 G37 features a new standard 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design with P225/55R17 tires. Larger 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and P225/50R18 front and P245/45R18 rear W-rated tires are standard on the G37 Sport 6MT and Sport Package-equipped G37 Journey models. A Performance Tire & Wheel Package with 18-inch wheel and P225/50R18 front and rear all-season tires is also available on the G37 Journey (non-Sport Package) and G37x AWD.
All G37 Sedans come equipped with Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors is standard, along with roof-mounted side impact supplemental air bags for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection and roof-mounted side impact supplemental air bags for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection.
Also standard are 3-point ALR/ELR seat belts (driver’s side ELR only) and front seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters and adjustable upper anchors, front seat Active Head Restraints and the LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren). Brake-Operated Pre-Crash Seat Belts are available as part of the Technology Package. The G37 Sedan also features Zone Body Construction with front and rear crushable zones to help disperse crash energy around the passenger compartment.
Four Well-Equipped Models
The 2010 Infiniti G37 Sedan is available in four models – G37, G37 Journey, G37x AWD and G37 Sport 6MT.
In addition to the long list of standard and available equipment on the G37, G37 Journey and G37x AWD models, G35 Sport 6MT models (as well as G37 Journey and G37x models equipped with the Sport Package) add drilled aluminum pedals, sport seats with thigh extensions and driver’s power bolster adjustments, upgraded brakes (not available on G37x AWD) and Viscous Limited Slip Differential) not available on G37x AWD), along with magnesium paddle shifters on automatic transmission models.
